Officials later told New Times that ASU has no budget in place for any payload mission, and that the funding for such a project - which is likely to cost millions of dollars - would probably come from private or government sources. ![]() In a news release that day, ASU indicated the memorandum commits the university to "develop one or more payload experiments to be launched aboard Blue Origin’s Blue Moon, a flexible lander delivering a wide variety of small, medium, and large payloads to the lunar surface." In a graphic displayed at the event, ASU's name was on a list of payload customers along with Airbus, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and various aerospace companies. ![]() If you’re not doing a positive handle lock, then soft-close is the way to go. I’m often surprised why more toolboxes don’t feature this. The drawers have a really nice soft-close feature. ![]() After attending the 2016 SEMA Show, I’ve seen more than a few tool boxes, and these look and feel nicer than most. They’re definitely going after at least the casual mechanic or serious DIY shop guy. It’s honestly a better look than most other toolboxes I’ve seen. Both have replaced the shiny handles with gloss black, giving them a new “black on black” look. Husky Tool Box and Workbench Features & Build Quality Husky Tool Chest and Husky Workbench Aestheticsīoth the new Husky Tool Box and the Husky Work Bench share a lot of features. Since the three tool boxes we received share so many features, this is a comprehensive review that covers them all. Getting them in for review was a natural next step, and we’ll go over my thoughts on that in detail below. My initial impression was: They nailed it-at least on first inspection. I first saw the new Husky tool chest and Husky work bench at The Home Depot’s Holiday Media Preview event in New York City. While color isn’t everything-in this case it mattered. While the red Milwaukee steel chest was a top performer-it was very…well, red. Our DeWalt 36″ tool chest was the same-only yellow. We also wanted them to hold our assortment of tools without a problem. When we were setting up our Shop for video reviews, we wanted a set of tool boxes that would work well as a backdrop. They’re tougher tool chests, they have better drawers, upgraded slides, and all models sport a new look that’s stunningly subdued. I have to tell you, the new Husky tool boxes and work bench that came out this year absolutely blow all that out of the water. Where they may have been lacking was in the area of drawer slides, and how the handles connected to the drawers. I also loved the 46″ Husky workbench and continue using it even today. Those Husky tool boxes were priced competitively, and had some features that made them a pretty good value. It was black, so it didn’t stick out like a sore thumb. It had nice secure-latch drawers that kept them closed. This may be the best tool box value you will find anywhere. Our favorites are the soft close drawers and tough slides. I highly recommend this item. You really need to see the new Husky tool chests and workbench to believe how well they’re made. This toolbox is not deep the way you may think from looking at the outside it's more of a tackle box design but for tools. Overall it was definitely worth buying and the price, I'm thinking of buying another for myself bc I am an artist and I really like all the compartments and latches and lock. On the top, is a nice thick rubber handle that I'm sure will withstand any weight. ![]() The instructions even tell you how to remove the trays (and it's so simple). Moving to the 3 drawers they all extend out 8" with a depth of 2" 8n each. The bottom of the upper section measures 3" deep whereas the tray measures almost 2" deep. When opened there is a tray that sits above the button, measuring 5" in width. It has a spot in the front to add a small lock if needed and 2 latches on either side. He first off loved the Luster black color with the light gunmetal trimming. It's the perfect size to set up in your garage or to take it along with you, and FYI, I bought the 20". After purchasing this toolbox, my husband informed me on what he needed, when it came to what kind I purchased. Even I know that is a vague request but I figured I'd give it a shot. My husband asked me the other day if I would buy him a toolbox. It's a great little tool chest and just right for my vehicle. It's a really nice feature and I wish Husky would have included that in the instructions however, a little bit of research solved the problem. This was not shown in the instructions, or on the box which I found a bit frustrating. When you pull them out you have to give a little bit more of a tug and they slide out nicely. Also, when you go to pull the drawers out again you MUST OPEN up the top of the toolbox in order to unlock the drawers. It doesn't matter if the top of the toolchest is opened or closed, you can lock the drawers either way. I did some research online and found that if you just put your thumbs on either side of each drawer, and give another push, the drawer goes in just a little bit more and locks in place! I found this troublesome because I didn't want drawers constantly opening whenever it was a little off balance. When I got it home I filled it with all of my tools and as I went to pick it up the drawers started to slide open. I am a female who carries lots of tools around and I wanted a toolbox where I didn't have to pile things on top of each other and when I saw the drawers and how nice the whole toolbox was I decided to purchase it. ![]() But moments after taking off, the pilots found themselves in serious trouble. ![]() The flight to the western city of Pangkal Pinang was meant to last little more than an hour. Just five months beforehand, a near identical Boeing 737 Max 8, operated by Indonesian carrier Lion Air, had set out on another routine journey from the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. The dive became steeper and steeper, and the aircraft fell faster and faster, until it slammed into the ground at more than 500mph, just six minutes after taking off. Together, they hauled back on their control columns, using their combined strength, in a last-ditch effort to overcome the forces arrayed against them with sheer muscle power. In desperation, Capt Getachew called on his co-pilot for help. Another alarm was now chirping urgently, warning that the speed of the plane had become dangerously high, as it began to dive towards the ground. Briefly it began to climb.īut then, inexorably, the process was reversed as the computers intervened yet again. With power assistance restored, the aircraft responded. Whatever the reason, they turned the electronics back on and Capt Getachew tried once more to raise the nose of the aircraft, using the thumb switch on his controls. By now the aircraft was gathering speed, and aerodynamic forces were building rapidly it’s likely they had simply become too great for the pilots to fight against using manual controls. They flicked switches on the centre console to disable part of the electronics, and began using manual controls instead, in an attempt to make the plane fly normally. Together, he and First Officer Ahmednur Mohammed Omar worked quickly to find a solution. A harsh robotic voice called out “don’t sink” three times, indicating that the plane was losing height. The column was shaking in his hands, a mechanical warning that the aircraft was in danger of stalling and falling out of the sky. But a few seconds later, those adjustments were automatically reversed. So he used a thumb switch as well, to adjust the aerodynamic balance of the plane, and encourage it to climb. Simply pulling back on his control column wasn’t enough. Yet when Capt Yared Getachew tried to guide the nose of the Boeing 737 upwards, an electronic system forced it down again. They were far too close to the ground, and needed to gain altitude. There was little more the pilots could have done.Īs alarms sounded in their cockpit, the captain and first officer struggled to regain control of their stricken aircraft. ![]() If cookie is disabled you'll see the site in the original language.
